CPAC Invites John Cornyn and Conservatives Are Furious About What This Means for the Movement

It looks like the so-called “gatekeepers” of the conservative world are finally waking up. The chairman of the American Conservative Union, Matt Schlapp, has confirmed that Senator John Cornyn of Texas is getting a platform at the next Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Some folks might scratch their heads at this, considering Cornyn’s record hasn’t always lined up with what grassroots conservatives actually want. But here we are, watching CPAC offer him the microphone. Is this the bold move we need, or another example of the establishment trying to placate the base?

Let’s not forget—CPAC is supposed to be the gathering spot for patriots who are sick and tired of business-as-usual politicians. Conservatives show up to CPAC because they want leaders who will fight for America, secure the border, and take on the woke left. They don’t want speeches from politicians who sound like they belong more in a D.C. cocktail lounge than standing up for the Founders’ vision. Yet, here comes Cornyn—invited front and center.

Liberals and globalists will love to spin this as “big tent” politics, using Republicans like Cornyn to soften up strong conservative principles. But true conservatives know better. We’ve seen what happens when establishment Republicans start nodding along with Democrats and global elites. They water down our values and surrender American sovereignty piece by piece. Inviting more fence-sitters into the conversation isn’t about unity—it’s about diluting what makes the movement powerful.

If CPAC isn’t careful, it risks turning into just another stage for RINOs and politically correct panderers. Conservatives are done with politicians who talk tough on Fox News but cave the minute liberals start yelling on Twitter. What CPAC should be doing is giving a voice to fighters, not to more members of the swamp. If Cornyn is coming, he better be ready to answer to real Americans who want action, not empty promises and well-polished speeches.

So, the question is simple: Will this be a turning point for CPAC—or just another event where the establishment tries to rebrand as “conservative” without delivering the goods? Conservatives are watching closely. And America doesn’t have time for more fair-weather friends.
