Iran is rattling its saber—again. Now the Ayatollah’s regime is threatening to close off the Red Sea if the United States takes military action. Once more, weak American leadership has left bullies and terrorists feeling bold. Instead of respecting American might, they mock us and threaten to choke off vital shipping lanes.
Let’s not kid ourselves. Iran isn’t acting alone. Its Houthi puppets, who sit in Yemen controlling swaths of shoreline near the strait, are ready to do Tehran’s dirty work. These are not some “freedom fighters”—they’re radicals funded and trained by one of the world’s most dangerous regimes. They exist only because Western progressives have coddled Iran and looked the other way.
The same “experts” and globalists in Washington told America that if we just negotiate and hand Iran pallet after pallet of cash, the threats would stop. They claimed appeasement would bring peace. They were wrong—again. It’s no surprise that now, with a White House obsessed with climate lectures and woke priorities, Iran smells weakness.
America’s enemies know when liberal politicians are asleep at the wheel. The Red Sea isn’t just some distant waterway. It’s a major artery for global trade, including American goods. Iran threatens it with a straight face, daring America to step up. Where is the outrage from the so-called “international community”? Busy giving lectures instead of standing up for freedom of the seas.
Instead of strong leadership, we get apologies and excuses from the left. While Iran’s thugs laugh, Americans and our allies are left wondering who—if anyone—is steering the ship. Maybe if our leaders spent less time worrying about pronouns and more time about protecting our interests, fanatics wouldn’t feel so brave. How many times do we have to learn that peace through strength beats handshakes with tyrants?
