It’s about time someone in the education system finally ripped the mask off the so-called “progressive” policies ruining our kids’ futures. Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels isn’t some rogue outsider—he’s in charge of the schools, and even he can no longer ignore the truth liberal elites work so hard to hide: New York’s forced class-size mandate and the absurd “hold harmless” policy are a disaster in the making.

Let’s be real. These rules sound nice on paper. Small classes, more attention—who could argue, right? But as usual, the woke crowd’s “compassion” is nothing but empty posturing. The state’s class-size mandate was pushed by politicians desperate to please the teachers’ unions, never mind the chaos it creates. Schools are running out of classroom space, and now have to hire more teachers fast—guess where that money’s coming from? Not the pockets of the rich progressives who wrote this mess, but out of working families’ wallets. Just another example of liberal incompetence hurting the very people they pretend to help.

And don’t get me started on the laughable “hold harmless” rule. Imagine a school losing students—big surprise after years of dumbing down standards—and yet still getting the same fat budget as before. Any real business would go broke with that logic. Instead, taxpayers get fleeced so failing schools can parade as “fully funded.” Only in a land run by globalist bureaucrats could waste and failure be protected like some kind of endangered species.

It’s the same story as always: politicians and union bosses make the rules, parents and children pay the price. The so-called champions of equity have created a system that punishes success and props up failure. And when the truth leaks out, they scramble to blame “systemic problems” or not enough funding. No accountability, no results—just more of the same.

If liberal leaders really cared about education, they’d fight for choice, responsibility, and higher standards, not coddling and cover-ups. Most parents see through the smokescreen—they want their kids to succeed, not be stuck in a failing system propped up by empty left-wing promises. Maybe it’s time the “experts” in charge started listening for once. But seeing how deep this rot runs, don’t hold your breath.
