Red states surge ahead to protect your vote while DC politicians stall and leftists panic

Something incredible is happening far away from the marble halls of Congress. While Washington Democrats drag their feet—and their knuckles—on simple safeguards for our elections, red states all across America are taking matters into their own hands. Brave leadership isn’t coming from Capitol Hill. It’s coming from state capitols in the heartland, where lawmakers remember what it means to actually defend America’s core values.

Here’s the core of the issue: Congress has been busy playing political games instead of doing the obvious—requiring actual proof of citizenship to vote in our elections. Not exactly a radical idea! Only American citizens should get a say in how this nation is run. But in the twisted logic of today’s left, common sense is always controversial, and protecting our ballot box somehow becomes “controversial” or even “racist.”

The left’s grand answer? Opposing security at every turn while crying about “protecting democracy.” Meanwhile, they’re making it easier for non-citizens—or worse, for illegal aliens—to end up on voter rolls. Instead of standing with Americans, they act like the only thing that matters is appeasing globalists and keeping their own grip on power.

But while Congress is paralyzed by partisan stunts, red states aren’t waiting around. They’re passing laws themselves: If you aren’t a citizen, you don’t vote—period. These patriots are done listening to lectures from coastal elites who think our sovereignty is up for debate.

There’s no logic to the left’s position. If you want to open a bank account, buy cold medicine, or fly on a plane, you need ID. But when it’s something as important as voting for the leader of the free world? Suddenly, it’s “discrimination” to ask for proof you belong in this country at all. That’s not just hypocrisy—it’s an outright insult to every hard-working, law-abiding American citizen.

Maybe it’s time we stop letting out-of-touch politicians in DC stall our security just because it might cost them a few votes. At the end of the day, the ballot box isn’t for the world’s tourists, border-jumpers, or phantom names on a list. It’s for Americans. If the left is so terrified of citizenship checks, maybe we should ask who they’re really working for.
