Chicago’s radical leadership keeps finding ways to put illegal aliens ahead of American lives. Just a week after an illegal immigrant allegedly murdered a Loyola University Chicago student, the city’s mayor, Brandon Johnson, managed to pull one more outrageous stunt: he rolled out a new city vehicle designed to go after ICE. That’s right. Instead of helping federal authorities keep law and order, Johnson is doubling down on lawlessness—basically declaring Chicago an open playground for anyone to break the law if it suits progressive politics.
Johnson’s priorities couldn’t be clearer. While American families mourn another senseless loss caused by our broken border policies, Chicago’s leadership is obsessed with picking battles against Immigration and Customs Enforcement—the very agency tasked with removing dangerous criminals from our streets. It’s almost like the mayor cares more about globalist virtue signaling than the safety of his own citizens.
The left loves to talk about compassion. But where is their compassion for the victims of illegal alien crime? Right now in Chicago, families are terrified. Students are looking over their shoulders. Honest residents worry the people in charge couldn’t care less about public safety. Is this what “progress” looks like in a Democrat-run city? Rolling out flashy new tools that undermine law enforcement mere days after a brutal killing—by someone who shouldn’t have been in the country in the first place?
Let’s not kid ourselves. These so-called “sanctuary” decisions are intentional. The liberal elites don’t want borders and they sure don’t want anyone enforcing the law. They’d rather spend taxpayer dollars on vehicles to harass ICE than actually clean up their crime-ridden neighborhoods. It’s a slap in the face to every law-abiding American watching their country get torn apart in the name of some woke agenda.
When will the people of Chicago wake up and refuse to let their city be used as a playground for failed liberal experiments? How many more American lives have to be lost for leftist leaders to finally care about the people they’re supposed to serve?
