The Nashville Predators have just handed fans another perfect example of woke insanity taking over sports. Instead of focusing on hockey, they’ve decided to plaster their brand all over social media with a brand new LGBT rainbow logo for so-called “Pride” month. And as usual, it’s turned into a disaster. The front office must have thought people would cheer for yet another corporate virtue signal, but the backlash is impossible to ignore.

Let’s be honest, Americans watch hockey for the action, the competition, and good old-fashioned team pride—not for a lecture on gender politics. Yet the Predators are more interested in pleasing leftist activists than connecting with the loyal fanbase that fills the seats. Like clockwork, every June these teams scramble to out-woke each other, obsessed with ticking off boxes for the liberal agenda instead of hitting goals on the ice.

Does anyone actually believe these corporate suits care about “inclusivity”? Or are they just scared of being smeared by the Twitter mob if they don’t bow to the latest LGBT trend? The real customers—the hardworking Americans paying for jerseys and tickets—don’t need their favorite team shoving identity politics into their faces.
