Senate rushes to pay bureaucrats while leaving border agents and Americans behind

Once again, the Senate has pulled off a classic Washington stunt: they rushed to fund the bureaucrats—and gave the American people the shaft. This time, senators raced through a vote to make sure TSA agents and Homeland Security fat cats get paid, while the people who actually protect our borders—immigration enforcement—were left high and dry. It’s another example of liberal priorities putting global interests above American safety.

Airports are jammed, travelers are stuck, and working folks are suffering because politicians simply refuse to do their jobs. But rather than address the real problem—the chaos at our southern border—out-of-touch elites in D.C. are more interested in keeping the wheels greased for government workers than securing the nation. It’s a slap in the face to every taxpayer who cares about America’s sovereignty.

Let’s be real. The reason for this so-called budget impasse boils down to a refusal to fund the tough work of enforcing immigration law. Democrats and their globalist friends can’t stand the idea of actually saying no to illegal immigrants flooding into this country. They’re happy to give their talking points about “security,” but when it’s time to fund border enforcement, they scatter like cockroaches in the light.

It is no accident that TSA agents will get their paychecks while the men and women who work the border are left waiting. The open-borders crowd in the Senate wants America to feel safe from “bad guys” at the airport while ignoring the total disaster at the border. It’s hypocrisy at its worst, and it costs real people their jobs, safety, and peace of mind.

If the Senate cared half as much about American families as they do about government workers and narrative-spinning, maybe our border wouldn’t be a joke to the world. Why is it so hard for them to remember that their job is to protect Americans first—not pander to political donors or foreign interests? The next time you’re stuck at an airport or see another story about chaos at the border, just remember who’s really responsible. Are these the people we want in charge of our security?
