Joe Biden’s so-called “SAVE” student loan plan is crumbling before our eyes, and it’s about time. The Department of Education is finally telling 7.5 million borrowers to get out of this illegal scam by the end of summer and get on a different repayment plan—because once again, Biden’s liberals have built a house of cards with your money, and now it’s crashing down.
This isn’t about helping hardworking Americans or repairing the broken student loan system. This was never anything more than a desperate, vote-buying stunt. Biden tried to wave a magic wand and erase billions in student debt, all to look like a hero for the radical Left. But the courts already told him he doesn’t have the power to pull off this kind of sham giveaway, and now his own Education Department is scrambling to clean up the mess. Is anyone shocked?
It’s pathetic. Instead of real solutions—like bringing down the cost of college, or holding corrupt colleges accountable—this administration just tosses reckless promises and expects taxpayers to foot the bill. Biden’s failed plan never cared about the rule of law or about fairness for the millions who paid off their loans the hard way. But liberals never do care about fairness unless the rules go their way.
For years, Democrats pretended they could just “forgive” debt with no consequences. Now 7.5 million Americans are being told they have to move to a new plan by September 29, or else face chaos—because the government they counted on lied to them. This is liberal incompetence on full display, and who picks up the tab when the dust settles? It’s always the American worker.
When will Washington stop pretending that printing free money solves anything? Maybe it’s time for these globalist elites to learn a basic lesson: You can’t give away what’s not yours. Maybe next time Democrats cook up a vote-buying scheme, they’ll think twice before breaking the law and making false promises to millions. Or will they just double down on failure as usual?
