The Federal Communications Commission finally did something right for Americans: it’s cracking down on routers made in foreign countries. For too long, our networks have been open doors for foreign-made tech, especially from our biggest adversaries. The FCC’s move to put all new foreign-made routers on the chopping block is a giant step toward closing those doors and keeping America safe.
Let’s not kid ourselves. We all know these foreign devices aren’t just innocent little gadgets bringing WiFi into our homes. Many are designed or developed overseas, and who knows exactly who’s writing the code behind them? It’s not some conspiracy theory—it’s common sense. Foreign governments don’t give two cents about protecting American data. They want leverage and backdoor access, and liberals have let them run wild for decades.
It’s about time someone remembered that national security matters more than saving corporations a few bucks, or making Wall Street globalists happy. While the FCC’s action only affects new models, why is anyone still defending the old hardware already in our homes and offices? Maybe it’s because the left and their big tech pals have gotten too cozy with China and other foreign interests.
The left’s answer to everything is always “global cooperation” or “open trade,” even when it leaves our kids’ data open to snooping and our country exposed. Liberals will cry about fairness and “discrimination” against foreign companies, but real fairness means standing up for Americans first. The time has come to stop treating foreign nations like trusted partners when they’ve done nothing to earn that trust in the first place.
The FCC’s action is a tiny start, but it’s not enough. Let’s see real courage—let’s get rid of all risky tech, not just new models. Or are liberals going to keep putting global profits before American families’ safety and privacy? When do we finally put America first and tell the world to keep their spyware?
