America’s Seniors Betrayed—And It’s the Big Government System That Enables It
It’s the same tired story, yet the Left keeps pretending it’s all just “misinformation”: a cunning fraudster exploits the massive, bloated, broken Medicare system, making off with over $61 million while vulnerable seniors get treated like trash. This time, a Texas man ran the kind of brazen scam you only see when government bureaucracy is so big and out-of-touch, it might as well hang an “open for business” sign for crooks.
Millions of taxpayer dollars went up in smoke because one con man—and his network of shady suppliers, phony telemedicine companies, and overseas call centers—could game the system. Medicare beneficiaries, mostly the elderly who depend on honest care, were bombarded by relentless telemarketing calls. They were pressured into accepting braces, foot baths, and bogus genetic tests they never asked for and didn’t need. Some even protested, but the government’s failed safeguards meant their protests fell on deaf ears.
Why does this keep happening? Because the same “progressive” politicians who dream up these trillion-dollar health care schemes don’t care about accountability. They would rather chase headlines and virtue signal about “expanding access” than actually tackle the fraud draining Medicare dry. Meanwhile, criminals go unchecked, grifting off America’s working people. Leftists talk about “protecting the vulnerable,” but their bloated programs create giant targets for fraudsters, both here and overseas.
Here’s another harsh truth: this wasn’t just a few faked signatures and stolen identities. This was organized fraud on an industrial scale, run through a tangled web of crooked companies stretching from Florida to Texas to Maryland, with offshore call centers in the Philippines doing the dirty work. The so-called medical “professionals” in these fake telemedicine operations funneled out doctors’ orders like candy, all while the bureaucrats in D.C. sat on their hands.
And after all that? The crook skipped out on his sentencing. For over a month, he was on the run. If regular Americans tried that, would they catch a break? Doubtful. But in Joe Biden’s America, crooks know how to play the system, while honest citizens foot the bill.
Government health care was supposed to be a safety net—not a jackpot for scammers and global hustlers. It’s time to ask: how many more times do seniors have to get used, how many more billions do taxpayers have to lose, before the Left admits their big government “solutions” don’t work at all? Or is Medicare fraud just another cost of doing business in the Democrat swamp?
