Ilhan Omar has become the face of everything wrong with today’s broken immigration system and Washington’s soft treatment of Democrat elites. Now, even the Republic of Somaliland — a country that knows firsthand the damage caused by the Omar family — is demanding she be shipped overseas to face the consequences of her actions. Let that sink in: a foreign nation is more eager for justice than our own so-called leaders.
After undeniable proof surfaced that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) committed immigration fraud, you’d think the American government would act swiftly. Instead, the Left is too busy turning a blind eye. They protect Omar because she checks every liberal box: she’s a woman of color, a “progressive,” and she preaches their favorite anti-American talking points. Rules only apply to conservatives, never to their pet radicals.
It’s embarrassing that the United States is now being lectured about justice by Somaliland. But can anyone really blame them? The Omar family’s record in Somalia is filled with scandals and corruption. Yet in America, Ilhan gets a seat in Congress and spends her time attacking the country that gave her everything. Try pulling those stunts in Somaliland. Over there, she’d finally learn that actions have real consequences.
This is what happens when globalist Democrats import lawlessness under the banner of “diversity.” They want open borders and special treatment for their allies, even if it means breaking our laws and spitting in the face of hard-working Americans. The only thing “progressive” about Ilhan Omar is how quickly she’s progressed from shady past to congresswoman without ever answering for her crimes.
When our own leaders can’t be bothered to enforce the law, should we really be surprised that other countries are volunteering to do it for us? If Joe Biden and his cronies had any backbone, they’d show America—and the world—that no one is above the law. But since the Left would rather protect their own, maybe it’s time to ask: would Ilhan Omar be more comfortable answering for her crimes in Somaliland? Or is American justice just another casualty of Democrat politics?
