Utah just did what every freedom-loving state in America should have done years ago. Governor Spencer Cox has put pen to paper, signing a common-sense law that gives our gunmakers the protection they deserve against the endless stream of ridiculous lawsuits. This is a breath of fresh air in a country where liberal activists can barely hide their contempt for the Second Amendment—and have made it their mission to harass gun companies out of existence.
Let’s make one thing clear: gun manufacturers are not the bad guys. They’re not the problem. Pretending they’re responsible for what criminals do is like blaming Ford if someone drives a truck through a store window. Yet that’s the fantasy world the left wants us to live in, fueled by globalist money and anti-gun lobbyists. Their plan? Sue American companies until they can’t afford to stay in business. It’s a backdoor scheme to gut our rights and disarm law-abiding citizens.
Utah won’t stand for it. With this new law, the state draws a bold line in the sand. Gunmakers in the Beehive State won’t be sitting ducks for legal attacks that are designed to push the left’s anti-gun agenda. This move supports honest industry, jobs, and—most importantly—the Constitution.
Liberals across the country should take note. Their failure to protect American businesses shows exactly why people are turning their backs on blue state policies and moving to states with backbone. These so-called “progressives” wouldn’t dare dream of holding car companies liable for drunk drivers, or fast-food chains for an overeater’s choices—but when it comes to guns, they twist logic into a pretzel and call it justice. That’s hypocrisy, plain and simple.
Utah’s leaders just did what Washington politicians refuse to do. They stood up for the Constitution, for the American worker, and for basic common sense. At the end of the day, who’s really defending American values—the gun-grabbing elites in D.C., or everyday patriots in Utah? The answer couldn’t be clearer.
