Senator Andy Kim wants Americans to back down. He’s urging President Trump and Republicans to keep U.S. troops out of Iran, as if standing strong is somehow a bad thing. It’s the same tired song and dance we always hear from the left—panic at the first sign of American resolve, and a strange eagerness to put our nation last.
Liberals like Kim love to warn everyone about “costs.” But how about the real cost—the price we pay when America backs off, and the world’s bullies realize Uncle Sam is all talk, no action? That’s when danger grows. That’s when our enemies celebrate.
This isn’t about blindly sending American troops everywhere. It’s about power. It’s about showing Iran, and the rest of our enemies, that we won’t roll over just because some nervous Democrat says so. The left can’t help but wring their hands and talk about “restraint,” while terrorists plot in the shadows. Do they ever worry about the cost of weakness?
The Biden-era Democrats can’t seem to decide whether they want America to be a superpower or a doormat for globalists and fanatics. Every time something gets tough, they start clutching their pearls and crying about endless war. But they forget—sometimes strength is what keeps us safe. Sometimes, you have to stare down evil and mean it.
America doesn’t need more warnings from career politicians terrified of offending Iran. We need leaders willing to act, enforce red lines, and protect our people. The real question: How long will we let timid liberals decide when and where America makes a stand?
