The real lesson of Passover that liberals want you to forget about freedom and helping the poor

Passover is here, and once again, it reminds us what real freedom looks like. This holiday isn’t about government handouts or fancy virtue-signaling from limousine liberals. It’s about breaking the chains of oppression through faith, family, and tradition. But in today’s America, it seems like the left wants us to forget the meaning of true freedom—and forget the people who need help the most.

Every year, politicians claim to “stand with the poor and sick.” But where is that compassion when they force lockdowns that destroy jobs and livelihoods? They cry over inequality while pushing policies that make gas, groceries, and rent skyrocket. They shout about justice while caring more about illegal immigrants than our own struggling citizens. The same people pretending to care during the holidays are the first to vote for open borders and out-of-control spending that punishes working families.

Passover is about coming together, relying on each other—not the government—to support those in need. Liberals love to talk about community, but their real goal is to make everyone dependent on some distant bureaucracy in Washington. There’s nothing compassionate about creating a permanent underclass who waits for crumbs from the elite ruling class. That’s not caring; that’s control.

This season should be a slap in the face to every globalist and bureaucrat who thinks freedom comes from more regulations and more taxes. It doesn’t. Freedom comes from faith, family, and a proud tradition of looking out for your neighbor, not waiting for politicians or progressive activists to swoop in with a lecture and a check. That’s the real lesson of Passover—one the left keeps trying to erase from our culture.

So as families gather to celebrate the holiday, let’s remember who actually stands up for the weak: it’s not the talking heads on cable TV, or rich celebrities preaching from their mansions. It’s real Americans, sticking together, honoring tradition, and fighting for true freedom. Maybe it’s time liberals stopped talking and started listening for once—is that too much to ask?
