Democrats Turn Protesting Into a Game of Make-Believe
Once again, America is treated to another round of “No Kings” protests, where Democrats and their activist friends march in the streets. What are they upset about this time? Apparently everything and nothing, all at once. They claim to be fighting against supposed “authoritarian” moves from the Trump administration and operations by ICE. But watch these demonstrations for just five minutes, and it’s painfully obvious: most of these protesters have no idea what they’re really standing for.
It’s almost comical, the way the left can’t help but play dress-up. You’ve got people strolling around in red robes from some TV show about a fake dystopia, pretending as if women are one law away from being enslaved. Never mind the fact that abortion is barely even on the Trump agenda this time around. It’s not reality—they act as if they’re on stage, desperate to play the role of the victim no matter how far from the truth it is.
And the spectacle doesn’t stop there. Some protesters wave flags from terrorist groups or oppressive regimes, ignoring the fact that their antics support America’s true enemies. Instead of coming together to fix real problems, the left is more interested in grandstanding and joining whatever radical cause gives them a chance to act rebellious. It’s not about real change anymore; it’s about feeling important and special, even if it means siding with Iran rather than their own country.
What’s missing is any sense of real leadership or discipline. The great civil rights leaders of the past—actual leaders—were focused and organized. Today’s Democrats can’t even agree on what they’re protesting, and they lash out at anyone who questions them. Instead of having clear demands, these protests have turned into playgrounds for self-importance where breaking the law, blocking traffic, and spouting empty slogans are just part of the show.
Let’s call it what it is: the left is addicted to pretending. Every demonstration is just another excuse to perform, shout, and virtue signal for social media likes. The First Amendment has become their stage, but the script is always the same—nothing but empty noise. Maybe Democrats should spend a little less time playing protester and a little more time actually understanding the country they’re supposed to care about. Or is it really just about feeling special?
