Democrats in Michigan are at it again, putting foreign dictators and special interest groups above the American people. Leaked audio has exposed Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed telling his campaign to stay silent about the death of Iran’s hateful Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. Why? Because he was worried about upsetting certain voters in Dearborn who were mourning Khamenei’s death. That’s right—he wanted to dodge the subject to coddle those with more sympathy for a tyrant than for actual American values.
It’s jaw-dropping how far leftists will go to keep their special interest voting blocs happy. Instead of standing up for freedom and democracy, they tiptoe around the feelings of people who are upset about a brutal Iranian leader being gone. What does that say about Democratic priorities? Apparently, it’s more important to worry about what radical activists in their own backyard think than to stand up for America—or the millions of Iranians who’ve suffered under Khamenei’s oppressive regime.
This is exactly the kind of embarrassing weakness we get from left-wing politicians. They’re obsessed with appeasing everyone—except hard-working Americans. While Iran’s leaders chant “Death to America,” Democrat hopefuls are wringing their hands about saying anything that might bother their base. It’s the definition of spineless.
No wonder so many voters are fed up with this anti-American pandering. Just imagine the outrage if a Republican candidate told their team to hide their views to protect “sad” far-right extremists. The media would be in meltdown mode. But because it’s a Democrat, and because it’s Ayatollah Khamenei, suddenly it’s all hush-hush and perfectly acceptable.
Why are we tolerating politicians who can’t even say out loud that the world is better off without someone like Khamenei? If our leaders won’t defend American values at home, how can we trust them to do it on the global stage? Frankly, if you’re that worried about offending those upset by an enemy’s death, maybe you shouldn’t be running for Senate in the United States.
