There’s something rotten in Washington, and the stench is coming from the Senate floor. While everyday Americans are sleeping, so-called “leaders” like John Thune are huddling with Democrats, cutting backroom deals that weaken our border and abandon law enforcement. When the country needed strength and backbone, what did the Senate deliver? A 2 AM surrender that left ICE and parts of Customs and Border Protection without critical funding. No money to stop illegal aliens, no resources to secure our borders. Just another win for the open-borders lobby—and a slap in the face to the American people.
Let’s not dance around the truth. Democrats cheered because they won—again. The bill didn’t dump every wild left-wing wishlist into law, but it handed them exactly what they wanted: an immigration system with no teeth and border agents left high and dry. Liberals don’t even hide their priorities anymore. They’ll grind our airports to a halt, punish Americans, and reward illegal invaders—all to keep ICE from doing its job. Anyone surprised that career politicians would cook this deal up in the dead of night must not have been paying attention.
It’s disgraceful. Instead of standing up for President Trump, Senate Republicans turned their back on the very voters that sent them to Washington. The SAVE Act—billed as the last defense for fair elections—was nowhere in the deal. Trump’s clear immigration plans were ignored, even though poll after poll shows voters demand action. Senate leadership didn’t even bother to keep House Republicans in the loop, proving just how little they care about working together for real border security.
What’s even more infuriating? The fake posturing afterwards. Senate bosses play tough, but when it’s time to stand up to Chuck Schumer and his band of radicals, they fold like cheap lawn chairs. They love to bluster in the spotlight, then run for the exits when it’s time to deliver for America. If this is the best Republican leadership can do, maybe it’s time for new leaders who remember who they work for.
Americans are sick of midnight betrayals and open-border backroom schemes. How many more times do we have to watch our so-called “conservative” senators cozy up with the globalist elite while our border is left wide open? The nation is demanding real courage, not cowardice hiding behind closed doors. When will they finally put America first?
