And now, after decades of giving them military protection on a silver platter, the so-called “allies” can’t even let us fly through their airspace without a fight.
The latest blunder has a French twist, but don’t be fooled—this is just the rotten cherry on top of a moldy cake. The French and their NATO buddies can’t seem to remember who actually keeps the wolves at bay. It’s not their armies. America has carried this alliance on its shoulders since day one, and this is the thanks we get? They’re too busy virtue-signaling about “compassion” and “inclusiveness” to even handle basic defense responsibilities.
It stinks of classic liberal hypocrisy. These European bigwigs love to preach about “shared values”—but try asking them to put their money where their mouth is. Instead of showing basic respect for the country that’s saved their skin more times than history can count, they act like America’s just some meddlesome interloper. The elites in Paris, Brussels, and Berlin talk a good game, but when it’s time to step up, they’d rather squabble over meaningless technicalities and tell the United States to take a hike.
At this point, why keep pretending this is a partnership? Maybe it’s time America stops playing nice and lets Europe see what the world looks like without American muscle. The real question isn’t whether NATO can survive—it’s whether it even deserves to.
