Spain tries to snub US military but ends up embarrassing itself instead

Spain just gave the world a masterclass in woke stupidity. The socialist government in Madrid thought it would make a statement by blocking American military planes from their airspace during a crucial mission, Operation Epic Fury. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez must think he’s some kind of global hero, wagging his finger at the United States. The left loves nothing more than pretending they hold the moral high ground, even if it leaves their so-called allies in the lurch. But here’s the kicker: the United States doesn’t need Spain’s approval, permission, or “help.” Not now, not ever.

Let’s get something straight. America’s military isn’t some bumbling EU experiment that needs handouts from failed socialist states. If Spain wants to play virtue-signaling games, that’s their problem. Washington made it crystal clear—this country is more than capable of handling business without a European babysitter. Spain closed its airspace because the left loves symbolic gestures, even if it means undermining its largest NATO partner. The Biden administration might stumble over its own feet in the world stage, but at least someone in the White House had enough backbone to say what should’ve been said years ago: we don’t need weak-willed countries telling us how or where to fly.

It’s laughable watching these European elites rush to make headlines at America’s expense. Pedro Sánchez is desperate to win points with the globalist crowd. But where would Spain even be without American sacrifice and might? Seventy-five years ago, U.S. troops shed blood to keep Europe free. Now, these entitled politicians turn their backs when the chips are down. It’s textbook anti-American bias, wrapped in the flag of peace and progressivism.

Let’s not kid ourselves. The left always claims to “stand with our allies,” but what they really want is to boss America around. They want U.S. dollars and defense, but act offended whenever we flex our power. Instead of gratitude, they sling insults and close their borders, thinking their tantrums will bring America to its knees. Newsflash for Madrid and every other weak-kneed capital: this nation has never needed permission slips from Europe.

Maybe it’s time for America to ask, who really needs who? Because if the world depended on socialist governments to keep the peace, chaos would reign by sundown.
