What on earth has infiltrated our Republican Party? Here we witness the baffling and downright infuriating sight of Sens. Lisa Murkowski and John Curtis rallying around Democrat Mark Kelly. When Mark Kelly decided to tell military members to disobey “illegal” orders, alarm bells should have been ringing about his judgment. Instead, we’ve got GOP senators all too eager to hand out party passes to liberals.
Let’s not be naïve. This isn’t about defending our brave troops. This is about another swamp-dwelling politician trying to push an agenda and muddy the waters. In a time when our military needs unwavering support and a clear chain of command, Kelly’s words are reckless. The Department of Defense is rightly probing his actions, but the real scandal is the hypocrisy and party betrayal from supposed Republicans.
Sen. Murkowski, still claiming she’s a Republican, stands by Kelly like there’s no one else who could do his job. What happened to party unity and standing up to liberal chaos? Perhaps she’s forgotten the very clear conservative values that got her elected. Or maybe she’s simply too cozy with her liberal colleagues to remember.
As for Sen. Curtis, his baffling stance alongside Murkowski raises even more questions. It is not only disappointing; it’s the kind of political maneuvering that erodes trust within the party. Are they more interested in catering to globalist interests than standing firm on American soil?
The conservative base, which believes in law, order, and respect for the military, deserves better. This isn’t about blindly following every order, but about respecting the institutions that protect our freedoms. If Republicans like Murkowski and Curtis can’t stand by those principles, perhaps it’s time they re-evaluate which side they’re truly on. When will they learn that cozying up to Democrats only results in weakened conservative values and a confused electorate?
