New Orleans, the Big Easy, has become the latest battleground in the fight for America’s sovereignty. The Department of Homeland Security is zeroing in on this so-called “sanctuary city” to tackle the chaos caused by illegal immigration. President Trump has taken a bold step to crack down on lawlessness where liberal policies have failed to protect American citizens.
It’s about time someone held these sanctuary cities accountable. Liberal leaders are more interested in virtue signaling than enforcing our nation’s laws. They prefer to harbor illegal immigrants rather than prioritize the safety and security of their lawful residents. This neglect endangers communities and stretches local resources thin.
Some local governments extol the virtues of open borders, while their citizens bear the brunt of crime and depleted services. They cloak this reckless behavior in high-minded rhetoric about inclusivity and compassion. But when it comes time to face the consequences, they scatter like leaves in the wind. It’s hypocritical at best and dangerous at worst.
The federal government has a duty to enforce the laws of the land, and it seems like they’re finally stepping up to the plate. Surging immigration agents into cities like New Orleans sends a strong message: enough is enough. This isn’t about hate; it’s about holding the line for our country’s future and ensuring public safety.
Liberal politicians might wail and gnash their teeth over these operations, but the truth is clear. America cannot afford to be a sanctuary for lawbreakers. The question we face is simple: Do we want leaders who put American citizens first or those who crumble under the weight of misguided globalism?
