Minnesota’s Democrat governor, Tim Walz, just doubled down on a disastrous policy that’s already sinking his state. Instead of cracking down on fraud and crime, Walz proudly promised to welcome even more Somali migrants — a community linked to billions in welfare fraud and economic strain. Democrat elites clapped like trained seals while he tossed aside common sense and the rule of law. This is the left’s cruel joke: celebrate open borders and invite chaos, then act shocked when states that comply collapse under the weight of their own reckless generosity.
Walz tried to paint his refusal to act like some kind of moral victory — insisting that these migrants are being unfairly “demonized.” Sorry, but when a community is siphoning billions from taxpayers, it’s not demonizing to call out fraud. In fact, ignoring such crimes only encourages more of the same. By ignoring investigations and prosecutions at the state level, Walz is basically giving welfare fraudsters a green light to keep robbing hardworking Minnesotans blind. Meanwhile, federal authorities do all the heavy lifting, because Walz and his Democrat cronies clearly have no stomach or spine to do the right thing.
And don’t fall for the media’s spin that this community “pays their fair share” in taxes. The math tells the real story: average Minnesotans fork over more than $8,000 a year, while Somalis pay a mere fraction of that. Throw in the massive welfare payout and the so-called “economic contributors” turn into economic burdens — sucking the lifeblood out of the state’s budget and resources. But you won’t hear Walz broach any of this because leftists have aligned themselves with globalist anti-American interests who see states as nothing more than permanent refugee farms.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Walz used a public fundraiser to take cheap shots at President Trump, clearly trying to curry favor with far-left donors. It’s typical Democrat hypocrisy: bash a proven leader who puts Americans first while cozying up to policies that invite yet more crime and corruption. Minnesota isn’t just welcoming refugees; it’s welcoming an era of lawlessness, thanks to leaders more concerned with virtue signaling than protecting their own citizens.
It’s time to ask: how much more damage will Minnesotans suffer before Walz and his party face the political consequences of their open borders, open wallets, and closed eyes? When millions are lost to fraud, and communities become crime-ridden, will anyone stand up for the hardworking taxpayers? Or will this be just another chapter of the Democrat disaster playbook?
