No surprise here, folks. This isn’t the first time these so-called language experts have missed the mark, relying on their smug elitism rather than understanding deep-rooted Christian traditions.
The hymn, written in the 19th century and paired with the timeless tune of “Greensleeves,” poses an ontological question about the divine nature of Jesus, not simply a playground inquiry as Merriam-Webster might suggest. Clearly, the ones behind this “correction” lack a fundamental grasp of Christianity. They completely misunderstand the profound theological message, and many online were quick to point out the blunder, much to the embarrassment of those who thought themselves all-knowing.
This incident isn’t just a laughable mistake; it’s a reflection of a bigger problem.
