First, they overturned Wisconsin’s longstanding abortion ban, igniting a moral decay. Now, they’re setting their sights on thwarting federal immigration enforcement by attempting to ban ICE detainers. This blatant disregard for the rule of law should send shivers down the spines of all Americans who value order and security.

Make no mistake, federalism is the bedrock of our nation, and these justices think they can play constitutional jenga with it. They haven’t just misread the Constitution; they’re willfully ignoring the Supremacy Clause, which makes federal law the supreme law of the land. These detainers are simply requests from ICE to local jails to hold illegal immigrants for a brief period.
