The liberal left is at it again, trying to stop President Trump from bringing much-needed modernization to the White House. This time, a so-called historic preservation group is up in arms because they claim the President bypassed a few of their precious processes to build a grand new ballroom. Let’s be honest — the East Wing was a cramped and outdated relic. It’s high time it got an upgrade, and Trump’s vision for a stunning ballroom is exactly what the nation’s most iconic residence deserves.
These bureaucrats want endless reviews and approvals that grind progress to a halt. They’re complaining about demolishing a theater and some old offices that were losing their luster ages ago. Instead of clinging to the past, maybe they should appreciate the bold steps to craft a venue grand enough for 1,000 guests, fit for events of national and international significance. But no, they want to keep us stuck in the 20th century.
The preservationists, with their nose in the air, argue that approvals were necessary from this commission and that commission, as if Washington isn’t bloated enough with red tape already. But President Trump is a man of action, not one to bend down to endless legalese that delays progress. When did Democrats last accomplish anything impactful without years of squabbling and inaction?
Apparently, even the National Environmental Policy Act has been dragged into this because powerful machinery and the land-fill process rubbed these groups the wrong way. This is classic liberal overreach — making mountains out of molehills. What it truly boils down to is an aversion to change and a thinly veiled vendetta to undermine Trump at every opportunity.
The left doesn’t want a stronger, more vibrant White House because they despise the idea of Trump making his mark. They fear it might last longer than their own socialist dreams. Why should the President wait for Congress when liberals shamelessly disregard the law time and time again? It’s time to ask: whom does this preservation group serve — the American people or some globalist agenda that favors stagnation over progress?
