The shocking truth elites ignore: Why socialism fails every time it’s tried

There’s a tragic irony in the affluent elites who live comfortably in their ivory towers, sipping lattes and singing the praises of socialism as if it’s a gospel. They call it a “gorgeous idea,” but conveniently ignore how it has repeatedly collapsed into ruinous failures worldwide. Let’s be frank here: socialism is a tried-and-failed idea that cannot be saved by heartwarming Hollywood fantasies or misguided idealism.

The woke crowd consistently argues that socialism has yet to be executed correctly. Yet, the evidence is overwhelming and damning. Look at countries like Cuba and Venezuela. Places where people, under socialist regimes, stare down the barrel of poverty every single day. Countries have been gutted and turned into places where scarcity reigns and people scrounge for basic necessities. How anyone could find beauty in such hardship is baffling at best and disingenuous at worst.

It’s laughable how some visionaries of the silver screen—worth millions—patronize the masses with visions of neighborly socialism. We often hear about sharing and caring as the main agenda. But these wealthy stars live in a bubble detached from reality, secure in their wealth, far removed from the breadlines their system creates. Talk about hypocrisy. Why not act on those socialist principles first? Write checks to your less fortunate neighbors, then get back to the rest of us with your utopian updates.

It’s not hard to poke holes in this socialist dream narrative. They’ll have you believe you can live as artists in this ‘perfect’ society where all is provided. But reality offers no such fantasy. Real-life socialist regimes have always meant hard labor for most. Anything glamorous is reserved for those who climb the ranks via favoritism and cronyism. Through the lens of reality, the so-called “gorgeous” dream is just a grim waking nightmare.

Why hurtle down the same path of destruction again and again? The truth is that the failsafe promise of socialism is built on empty stacks of progressive promises, propped up only by its own naivety. Such delusions should turn away anyone who actually looks at the facts. Why clutch onto a sinking vessel when the ship of freedom sails wide open? One thing’s clear: there’s nothing gorgeous about hammering America with a failed ideology of the past.
