Astoundingly, a group of extremists plotted bombings across Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. Thanks to the FBI, our brave men and women in law enforcement, a nightmare was averted. This time. But let’s not lose sight of what’s fueling these homegrown threats: a dangerous cocktail of anti-Americanism and globalist sympathies that liberals continue to brush under the rug.
Why are we seeing groups like this radical faction of the Turtle Island Liberation Front popping up? Clearly, their pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement mindsets are nurtured in a society that, thanks to the left, all too often puts America last. They thrive on chaos, using social platforms to spread a venomous ideology while calling for the “freeing” of North America from what they ignorantly term an “illegal American empire.” These are radical dreams that pamper extremism—pampered by progressives who champion open borders and disdain for our national values.
These would-be terrorists aimed to disturb, aiming bombs at five busy L.A. locations, praying for bedlam on one of the most celebrated nights of the year. They don’t attack faceless abstractions; they target us, our families, our celebrations. The audacity of this plot right on American soil should be a wake-up call to anyone still dozing under the thin veil of liberal naiveté.
The mastermind behind this plot wasn’t a lone wolf. A fifth suspect was nabbed across the country in New Orleans, planning yet another attack. This was as coordinated as it was evil. Yet, here we stand, with some on the left ready to downplay these actions, more interested in protecting hurt feelings than securing our streets.
So, where are the mass condemnations from those who scream the loudest about “domestic terrorism” when it’s politically convenient? Perhaps they are too busy focusing their outrage on law-abiding Americans. Could it be that the unchecked spread of anti-American sentiment is the real injury from years of globalist brainwashing? It’s a sad state of affairs when the essence of American pride and safety is under attack while a liberal blind eye is turned.
Isn’t it high time we put America first? Shouldn’t our leaders remember their oaths to protect each and every one of us, not just cater to radical whims?
