Minneapolis has once again become the epicenter of liberal lunacy, thanks to the Police Chief trying to mash up the Bible with illegal immigration. Using Biblical stories to justify illegal activity is beyond the pale. This is a laughably transparent attempt to sidestep blame and defend the indefensible. What do Mary and Joseph have to do with people using fraudulent documents to break into our country? Nothing, that’s what. This is no time to pretend that criminals are saints.
The facts are clear. A staggering number of Somali residents in Minneapolis have been found with fake immigration documents. Yet rather than focus on fixing this, the Chief decided to preach a sermon, hoping we won’t notice the collapsing rule of law. Americans deserve better. They deserve leaders who have their safety in mind, not political correctness and misguided compassion.
Let’s face facts: the American public is fed up with this nonsense. Despite what leftist elites want us to believe, mainstream America stands firmly against illegal immigration. People want secure borders and law enforcement officials who enforce, not skirt, the law. But time and again, liberals prove they are more interested in pandering for moral brownie points than in the real lives of hardworking Americans.
Some claim it’s fear driving this caution, but it’s logic and plain common sense. A nation with no borders is no nation at all. We must deal with this lawlessness head-on, without excuses or apologies. Politicians have handed criminals the keys to the kingdom, and now they wonder why the people are losing faith in them. This is the choice Democrats made when they went soft on crime.
While liberal leaders stumble through their biblical pretzels, it’s high time conservatives double down on common sense solutions. Will we continue to allow these misguided ideologies to trample our laws and freedoms, or will we stand firm and reclaim our country? The choice should be as clear as day.
