Liberals Meltdown as Trump Moves to Rescue DC Golf Course Elites Desperate to Keep It Rotting

The left just can’t help themselves when it comes to blocking progress and attacking anything with the Trump name on it. Now, they’re throwing yet another tantrum—this time over East Potomac Park and its golf course in Washington, D.C. Instead of cheering real improvements, a so-called preservation group and a couple of stubborn locals are running to the courts, desperate to stop the Trump administration’s plans.

Let’s get real. This is about old-school Washington insiders clinging to their failing status quo. They’d rather let the capital’s historic golf course rot than see Trump apply his legendary flair for upgrades and putting America first. Liberals talk a big game about opportunity and revitalization. But when faced with actual change, suddenly they want everything to stay “historically” rundown—so long as it guarantees their cronies stay in control.

This is what’s wrong with the D.C. swamp. For years, the government has let national gems like East Potomac Park decay while bureaucrats shuffle paperwork and chase TV interviews. But the minute an administration with backbone steps in, the resistance activates. Are these elites really so afraid of seeing a crumbling public space turned into something great? Or do they just hate the idea of Trump making D.C. look good?

It’s pure hypocrisy. These same crowd will cheer when globalist billionaires snatch up prime real estate in American cities. But God forbid anyone with a conservative vision wants to fix what’s broken. The only thing “preserved” by these special interest groups is their own power.

Why should ordinary Americans stand by while a handful of whiny activists and their friends in the courts prioritize their agenda over community improvement? The left loves to talk about fairness — unless it means letting Trump build something lasting, successful, and truly American. Isn’t it time we ask: who really benefits from keeping D.C. stuck in the mud?
