California has always bragged about being a leader – but these days, it’s leading the nation straight off a cliff. The state sits on a goldmine of oil, yet it’s begging for gasoline from halfway around the world. Why? Liberal politicians and their out-of-touch policies have gutted the state’s refineries, all in the name of “climate justice.”
As refineries shut down, Californians are paying out the nose for gas. Who gets the blame? Not the masterminds in Sacramento—at least not if you listen to the mainstream media. But everyone knows why prices are surging: environmental extremists have tied California’s energy industry in so much red tape, it’s easier to import fuel from the Bahamas than to use what’s right under their feet.
It’s the height of hypocrisy. The same Democrats who scream about “carbon footprints” are shipping fuel on massive tankers from foreign countries, burning even more fossil fuel just to keep their utopian dreams alive. California is oil-rich, but liberal elitists refuse to let the state tap its own resources. Instead, they open the door for globalist interests and foreign governments to profit.
Meanwhile, working-class families and small business owners struggle to fill their tanks. No wonder people are fleeing California in droves. Politicians in expensive suits don’t care about the pain at the pump—they’re too busy virtue signaling to their liberal buddies. All this suffering is supposed to “save the planet,” but the only thing it’s really saving is the ego of anti-American environmentalists.
California’s leaders have made it clear: they’d rather serve the green agenda than the people who elected them. At what point will regular Americans decide enough is enough? Maybe it’s time to stop importing bad ideas along with Bahamian gasoline.
