Liberals Meltdown After CBS Cancels Democrat Lovefest Over Rules They Once Demanded

For years, liberals have screamed about “fairness” on TV, whining that conservatives get too much attention. But when the tables turn—even a little—they throw a fit. Just look at what happened when left-wing late night host Stephen Colbert claimed CBS yanked his cozy interview with far-left Texas Democrat James Talarico. The reason? Apparently, the network brass were nervous about breaking what’s called the “equal time” rule. That’s a rule meant to stop TV networks from giving one political candidate hours of free publicity, while shutting out the other side.

Funny, isn’t it? Liberals spent years demanding the so-called fairness doctrine, pretending they cared about balance. But now that an old, basic FCC rule gets in their way, suddenly they’re the victims. It’s as if Democrats only want “equal time” when it benefits their own candidates. When Hollywood celebrities line up to kiss the rings of leftist politicians, it somehow doesn’t count. But the moment a network might get held to the same rules they expect for everyone else, outrage erupts.

And let’s not pretend for a second that Colbert and his buddies over at CBS aren’t in the bag for the Democrats. Their whole late night routine is just an endless parade of anti-Trump jokes and woke propaganda. They cheer for Democrat candidates, ignore conservative victories, and act shocked if anyone dares to bring up election integrity. When they finally get called out for their bias, they want to blame “regulatory guidance from the Trump administration.” Give me a break. They still can’t accept that rules apply to them, not just to their political enemies.

This whole mess exposes what conservatives have always known: the left doesn’t just want fair coverage, they want control. They want to dominate the narrative, fill the airwaves with their talking points, and silence anyone who disagrees. But now, when old-fashioned election rules force them to play fair, they cry foul. Maybe, just maybe, the real problem is their sense of entitlement. Maybe if they stopped trying to rig every conversation, they wouldn’t get tripped up by the same laws everyone else has to follow.

Americans are sick and tired of the double standards. The so-called “mainstream” media loves to act holier-than-thou, but their hypocrisy gets more obvious by the day. If Stephen Colbert and CBS want to prove they care about democracy, maybe start by following the rules—just like the rest of us. Or is that too much to ask from the self-appointed guardians of “fairness”?
