Eileen Gu betrays Team USA for China and the media loves it

Eileen Gu is everywhere these days. The leftist media loves her. She’s the superstar they can’t get enough of—nearly every headline and photo op is about her. But here’s what they don’t want to talk about: Eileen was born in the United States and has chosen to ski for Communist China instead of her own country. That’s not just surprising, it’s a slap in the face to everyday Americans who believe the U.S. Olympic team should actually be, well, American.

This is what happens when we let globalist nonsense and woke ideology take over. People who benefit from all the freedoms and opportunities of our country can just turn around and compete for a regime notorious for censoring speech, fueling oppression, and stealing American jobs. The corporate media barely mentions it. Instead, they fawn over her as some sort of role model. It’s no wonder U.S. patriotism is sinking when our institutions celebrate athletes who run straight into the arms of our number-one rival on the world stage.

Just think about how liberals act whenever an American athlete dares to say something positive about their own country. They get mocked, silenced, or ignored. Yet when someone like Gu decides America isn’t good enough for her and jumps ship for China, she gets the red-carpet treatment. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious. If she was waving the Stars and Stripes and talking about hard work and freedom, the elite press wouldn’t give her the time of day.

Meanwhile, the same network pundits and blue-checked Twitter loudmouths tell us how “brave” she is for “following her dream.” Give me a break. This isn’t bravery. It’s turning a blind eye to the values that made her success possible in the first place. Where’s the outrage from the left? Why do they stay silent about American-born athletes helping to prop up an authoritarian regime? Oh, right—their love for globalism trumps any sense of loyalty to our country.

Patriotic Americans deserve athletes who are proud to represent the Stars and Stripes, not self-serving globalists who chase personal fame at the expense of national pride. If competing for China is the new standard, what’s next? Maybe the media will start cheering for athletes who compete for Russia or Iran. At some point, you have to wonder: who are these people really rooting for?
