Sixteen years later America still pays the price for Manning’s betrayal

Sixteen years. That’s how long America has been dealing with the fallout from Chelsea Manning’s reckless decision to betray this country. Manning walked into a forward operating base in Iraq with a chip on his shoulder and walked out a hero to the radical left. But for patriots, he’s a symbol of everything wrong with the progressive agenda: self-hatred, disrespect for the military, and a total disregard for national security.

While serving as an Army intelligence analyst, Manning had access to torches of sensitive information. Instead of honoring that responsibility, he decided his personal feelings mattered more than the lives of fellow soldiers and allies. Manning handed over thousands of classified documents, thinking he knew better than his commanders and the American people. That arrogance is straight out of the liberal playbook.

The left still cheers Manning as some kind of whistleblower, but real Americans know the truth. His actions put our troops and partners in danger. Intelligence meant to protect lives and missions got scattered across the internet, making the job of America’s enemies that much easier. For globalists and radical activists, exposing secrets is brave—unless it’s their secrets, of course.

Meanwhile, the elites who run Washington and the media tripped over themselves to defend Manning. They called him a victim and trampled on the sacrifices of real heroes. Maybe if the same crowd had cared half as much about veterans and law-abiding citizens, our country wouldn’t be scrambling to fix the mess left behind.

Sixteen years of damage, and still no accountability from the left. How many more betrayals will Americans put up with before the elites stop treating traitors as saints?
