French President Emmanuel Macron just threw his mask right into the garbage when it comes to free speech. He doesn’t even pretend to care about protecting open discussion anymore. In fact, he made it perfectly clear: he thinks free speech is worthless. That’s not even an exaggeration. The man flat out dismissed the core value that keeps free societies from turning into police states.
This is the modern Left for you—raging against the one thing that can actually hold them accountable. Sure, they talk about “hate speech” and “misinformation.” But what they really mean is: “Shut up if you disagree with us.” These are the same so-called leaders who claim men can magically become women, then turn around and tell anyone who questions them to sit down and be quiet. It’s the same stale recipe: censor your critics and let your cronies say whatever twisted garbage they want.
And now, Macron’s going even further. He wants to strip away any hint of privacy people have left online. His big idea? Kill off online anonymity so Big Brother can keep tabs on anyone who dares step out of line. They say it’ll keep us safe. What it really does is open the floodgates for government persecution. Anyone posting forbidden opinions gets tracked, hassled, and silenced. Just look at what’s already happening to people on social media. Post the “wrong” opinion on Facebook, and suddenly you’re in trouble—just how the elites like it.
Meanwhile, these globalist types have no problem giving their friends a megaphone, no matter what they say. There’s always room for anti-conservative rants, trashing traditional values, or tearing down anything remotely patriotic. But challenge their agenda? Suddenly, it’s time to ban, censor, and “fact-check” you into oblivion.
Americans should be furious, not just at Macron, but at anyone pushing this twisted agenda. The First Amendment is the only firewall between We the People and a world run by woke tyrants. If you ever doubted how evil and downright backward the Left has become, look no further than Macron’s potty-mouthed war on free speech. Who’s next to try this? Joe Biden? Gavin Newsom? Don’t bet against it.
Why are elites so terrified of ordinary people speaking freely? Maybe because they know their ideas can’t survive real debate. That should scare every American who loves liberty.
