Gavin Newsom is desperate to play dress-up as a serious presidential contender. But maybe before he starts shopping for Oval Office drapes, he should figure out how to hold onto his own birth certificate. Sounds basic, but apparently, this is a real challenge for the man who dreams of running the country.
Liberals love to mock voter ID laws or any attempt to actually secure our elections. They claim regular Americans don’t know how to obtain identification or manage basic documents like birth certificates. But here’s the kicker—these same Democrats, the very people who scoff at taking responsibility, are turning their own ignorance into a virtue. If California’s “nepo baby” governor can’t even keep track of his own vital records, what hope does the rest of America have under his watch?
Let’s not forget, this is the guy who led California down a path of chaos—soaring crime, homelessness, failing schools, you name it. He’s supposed to show leadership, but he can’t demonstrate the bare minimum: keeping important papers safe. Somehow, millions of regular Americans—black, white, rich, poor, men, women—manage to secure their birth certificates and the IDs they need to function in daily life. If Newsom finds it too complicated, maybe the presidency is out of his league.
We all know getting a replacement birth certificate isn’t exactly rocket science. There’s a government website. You fill out a form. You pay a standard fee. For a guy who ran San Francisco, you’d think Newsom could handle a simple errand. If he thinks thirty-one dollars is too steep, maybe he shouldn’t have blown so much taxpayer money as mayor in the first place.
This is typical liberal elitism—pretend to be a victim, act like the rules are too hard to follow, then expect everyday Americans to trust them with the country’s most important responsibilities. If Gavin Newsom can’t get his act together with his own paperwork, why should he be trusted with the future of America? At this point, it sounds like he shouldn’t even be allowed to vote. Does anyone really want to hand the nuclear codes to a guy who can’t keep track of his own birth certificate?
