President Donald Trump just did what every so-called “America First” politician promises but never delivers. He upped the ante on global tariffs, raising them from 10 percent straight to 15 percent. This move proves, once again, that Trump isn’t afraid to stir the pot and protect American workers, even as left-wing pundits and globalist elitists scream bloody murder.
For decades, spineless politicians sold the American middle class down the river, letting cheap foreign goods flood our markets and destroy good American jobs. While liberals whine about “free trade” and claim higher tariffs will spark some kind of apocalypse, Trump knows how to play hardball. He’s making it crystal clear: if you want access to the world’s top consumer market, you’re going to pay for the privilege.
Big business and their buddies in Washington may clutch their pearls, but working families see right through the noise. Raising tariffs means new leverage against countries who take advantage of us—especially China, who’s been laughing all the way to the bank while American factories shut down. It’s about time we stop apologizing for wanting to put Main Street ahead of Beijing, Brussels, or any other foreign capital.
Only in the twisted world of the radical left does standing up for American jobs count as “dangerous.” They’d rather let foreign interests get rich while Americans scramble for crumbs. The globalist crowd howls that tariffs will cost us more at the store, but neglects to mention how many communities were gutted when they sent manufacturing offshore. Protecting our own industries is common sense—something the Biden-era bureaucrats wouldn’t recognize if it hit them in the face.
While the left continues to bow down to foreign powers, President Trump is drawing a hard line. He’s telling the world: you want access to America? Play fair, or pay up. This is leadership liberals can only dream about. Is it any wonder they’re terrified a real leader is back in charge?
