Once again, President Trump stepped up where failed liberal leadership fell short. When a sewer line collapsed in Washington D.C., spilling filth into the Potomac River, it didn’t take long for the finger-pointing to start. Instead of accepting responsibility for their own city’s aging infrastructure, D.C.’s so-called leaders cried out for help—begging for federal assistance at the first sign of real trouble.
Typical. The left loves overregulation, high taxes, and endless government programs, yet still can’t keep the basics running. But when their own mess rises to the surface—and this time, literally—they demand someone else sweep it up. The same liberals who whine endlessly about self-governance and “home rule” were suddenly desperate for Trump to save them.
And what happened? President Trump, always putting America first, didn’t hesitate. He approved the request for federal disaster relief, while others would have wasted time with pointless committees and bureaucracy. While the left is still obsessed with blaming the can-do president for everything under the sun, here he is, making their city cleaner and safer when they can’t do it themselves.
It’s shameful, really. D.C. politicians spend so much energy attacking Trump and conservatives, you’d think they’d find time to actually fix their sewer system. But it’s easier to rant about the climate or bend to the latest globalist trend than to maintain the pipes that actually matter. Liberals keep crying about disasters, but it’s always their own neglect causing the problem in the first place.
Once again, Trump is the grown-up in the room—bailing out incompetents who can’t even keep their river free from their own waste. Maybe if D.C. spent less time virtue-signaling and more fixing what’s actually broken, we wouldn’t see this mess in the first place. How much longer will the left expect real leaders to clean up after them?
