It’s finally happening. The swamp is draining and it’s starting in the halls of the immigration courts. For too long, New York had judges who seemed more interested in handing out citizenship than upholding our laws. One of the worst offenders—practically the poster child for open borders—just got kicked to the curb. That’s right, the most lenient immigration judge in the Empire State is gone. And guess what? The Department of Justice isn’t wringing its hands or writing apology letters. Instead, they’re giving a standing ovation.
Remember how things fell apart under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris? Borders thrown wide open, immigration “policy” run by feelings instead of facts, and criminals streaming into American neighborhoods. Biden’s so-called leadership left the whole immigration system in ruins. It didn’t take Trump 2.0 long to realize that part of the problem was in the courtroom. Over a hundred judges either got the boot or decided to retire on their own once the new sheriff came to town. When you’ve got judges who care more about illegal aliens than the American taxpayer, maybe it’s time to show them the door.
Here comes the best part: instead of stuffing the courts with more career bureaucrats, the Defense Department brought in tough-as-nails lawyers from the military. These aren’t woke college professors or Washington insiders. These new judges actually believe in law and order—what a concept! Maybe we’ll finally see some consequences for breaking federal law instead of the endless slap on the wrist routine preferred by the left.
Liberals keep crying about “fairness” and “compassion,” but what about fairness for the millions of Americans who have to pay the price for unchecked illegal immigration? Under Democrat rule, the only people who seemed to get compassion were those who cut the line and broke the rules. But now, the tide is turning. Trump’s DOJ isn’t afraid to take bold steps. When they see a judge making a mockery of the law, they take action. None of the weak excuses and navel-gazing we came to expect from the previous administration.
There’s a new era unfolding. One where American laws matter again, and where judges are actually expected to enforce them. The open-borders crowd can wail and gnash their teeth, but this is what real leadership looks like. Maybe the rest of Biden’s loyalists should start polishing their résumés—because it’s clear their days of running the show are over. When you put America first, you get results. Isn’t it about time?
