When power-hungry politicians start playing house, the real losers are always everyday Americans. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the bizarre soap opera between Mayor Mamdani and Governor Hochul. They parade around pretending to be partners in progress. But as soon as real decisions need to be made, the ugly truth pops out: radical leftists like Mamdani love socialism much more than they care about New Yorkers.
Hochul acts shocked every time Mamdani throws another socialist curveball her way. But what did she expect? The mayor openly flaunts his obsession with so-called “progressive” policies. He doesn’t hide his love for the far-left fantasy world—one where criminal coddling, sky-high taxes, and reckless spending rule the day. While Hochul tries to act like a centrist savior, she’s constantly being played for a fool by her left-wing pals.
It’s not just childish bickering, either. This never-ending liberal tug-of-war has real consequences. Crime surges. Businesses pack up and leave. Families struggle to stay afloat. Meanwhile, politicians like Hochul and Mamdani are too busy bickering over which woke agenda item to push next. They ignore any common-sense ideas that would actually help working people. Their priorities? Virtue signaling for Twitter and pleasing their activist friends.
Let’s not kid ourselves. This isn’t about love or teamwork. It’s about power. The radical socialists want more government control. Weak-willed leaders like Hochul are desperate to stay in good graces with the left, even if it means turning their back on what’s best for the state. All they accomplish is dragging New York deeper into chaos, all while patting themselves on the back for their “compassion.”
Americans have seen enough. The left can wrap its failures in fancy slogans and empty promises, but the results speak for themselves. How many broken relationships does it take before someone asks—who’s looking out for us? If this is the best leadership Albany and City Hall can offer, maybe it’s time for voters to demand a divorce.
