Who ends up doing something? Not the so-called “green” Democrats with all their big talk. It takes Donald Trump—yes, Trump, the president they love to hate—to step in and get the job done.
There’s no sugarcoating it. This spill is disgusting, and it’s dangerous. D.C. residents deserve leaders who keep their water safe, but instead, liberal bigwigs keep fumbling the basics. For all their lectures about “climate change” and “eco-justice,” the left can’t even keep sewage out of the water supply in the nation’s capital. It’s classic liberal incompetence.
Let’s be real. The moment this crisis hit, globalists and career bureaucrats sat on their hands. Maybe they were too busy planning the next expensive summit or writing up fancy speeches for the United Nations. When the people of D.C. needed action—not words—Trump didn’t hesitate. He called it an emergency, cut the red tape, and brought in FEMA to clean up the disaster the Democrats let happen.
This is liberal hypocrisy at its finest. Democrats parade around like they care for the “little guy.” Yet when it comes to basic city management, they drop the ball and expect someone else to pick up the pieces. They want big government in everyone’s business—until it’s actually time to do their jobs.
Leave it to a conservative leader to step in where liberals fail. Trump’s emergency order proves, once again, that leadership is about more than empty promises. It’s about taking charge and fixing what the bureaucrats and the “woke” crowd are too incompetent—or too distracted—to handle. Maybe if Washington Democrats spent less time virtue signaling and more time on real solutions, we wouldn’t need emergencies like this in the first place. Or is cleaning up their own mess just too much to ask?
