The city of Los Angeles looks like a scene from a disaster movie. But it’s not zombies roaming the streets — it’s just empty city offices. What happened to our once-busy city hall? Turns out, the place is deserted. Why? Because government workers have decided they don’t have to show up anymore. They’re working from home, lounging behind computer screens, while taxpayers get stuck with crumbling services and filthy streets.
We were promised that the pandemic was “temporary.” That old excuse. Yet it’s now 2026, and these city staffers act like COVID is still some looming threat. Meanwhile, the hardworking folks who pay their bloated salaries are stuck waiting for permits, basic services, and answers. If regular, blue-collar Americans tried to pull a stunt like this — just quit showing up to work — they’d get fired on the spot. But if you’re part of the government class, apparently you get rewarded for doing almost nothing.
This is the liberal fantasy in action. The left tells us government will solve everyone’s problems — but the only solutions they bring are excuses. They scream for higher taxes and more bureaucracy, then vanish when it’s time to do the actual work. And while city offices collect dust, the real problems — crime, homelessness, broken roads — only get worse.
Who wins when city workers become permanent “work-from-home” ghosts? Not taxpayers, that’s for sure. The globalist elite pushing remote work policies don’t care about your neighborhood or your business. They just want control, more rules, and less accountability. The sad truth is, while city staff play hide-and-seek on the clock, it’s the law-abiding public that suffers.
If public servants refuse to do their jobs, why should anyone keep footing the bill? Los Angeles doesn’t need more excuses from government lifers coddled by union bosses and liberal politicians. The city needs real workers — who show up, get dirty, and earn their pay. Is it too much to ask for government employees to actually serve the public? Or is that idea just too “old-fashioned” for California liberals?
