This year, the beautiful Lake Tahoe area has seen death after death as skiers keep losing their lives on those slopes. With two more lives lost just this week, at least fifteen families are now mourning because of what’s happening up there. Nine lives were already wiped out in one horrific avalanche near Castle Peak back in February—an accident that should have rung alarm bells. But just like always, the left and their friends in big government shrug and move on, eager to keep selling the fantasy that everything is safe under their watch.
Let’s be honest: when politicians spend more time lecturing Americans about climate change than actually making our recreation areas safe, this is the result. California loves to boast about its green policies and sweeping regulations, but when real people are dying on their watch, all you hear are crickets. Bureaucrats collect their paychecks while families lose loved ones. Where is the accountability? Gone, buried under the snow just like those skiers.
The elites love to flock to places like Heavenly resort, preaching about “sustainable tourism” while refusing to face the dangers right under their noses. Liberals spend trillions chasing their globalist climate fantasies, yet American adventurers get left without real protection. Are they too busy worrying about plastic straws to clear unsafe conditions or educate people about the real risks in these mountains? People come for fun, freedom, and fresh air—and instead they’re being sent home in body bags.
It’s the same recipe for disaster that we see everywhere the left is in charge: lots of rules for law-abiding citizens, but total incompetence when it comes to the basics. Secure the snow. Fix the trails. Make resort management answer for what’s happening on their watch. Instead, government agencies and eco-warriors just keep pointing fingers, blaming “global warming,” but never their own failures. No plan, no solution—just empty words and more tragedy.
How many more people need to die before liberals stop dreaming and start doing their job? Or are everyday Americans just supposed to accept the danger so the globalist crowd can feel good about themselves? Maybe it’s time to stop listening to the empty promises and start demanding real accountability—and real safety—for our own people. Enough is enough.
