Every so often, America gets a rare moment of truth from its leaders. President Trump did just that by taking time to honor families shattered by the evil acts of illegal immigrants. He called them “angel families” — a name that puts a real face on the devastating consequences of open borders and lawless policies. While liberals weep fake tears over criminals sneaking into our country, real Americans are weeping for their loved ones who paid the ultimate price.
It took President Trump, of course, to finally give these families the attention and respect they have always deserved. Instead of ignoring them or dismissing their pain, he stood with them. He declared a special day just for them, signing a proclamation at the White House that sends a clear message: American lives matter. How often do you see Democrats do anything for these victims? The answer is never. They would rather defend lawbreakers than American citizens.
This is exactly why we need strong borders and a return to common sense. Liberal politicians and their globalist buddies roll out the red carpet for illegal aliens, while angel families are left behind, forgotten. They claim to care about “compassion” and “humanity,” but their actions show they have more compassion for criminals than for innocent Americans. It’s hypocrisy at its worst, plain and simple.
Securing the border shouldn’t be controversial, but the left is so desperate for new voters and cheap labor that they ignore the real suffering caused by their open-borders agenda. For years, their anti-American schemes have resulted in blood on their hands. Every time an innocent American is killed by an illegal immigrant, it’s a direct consequence of the leftist refusal to enforce the law. Are these the priorities we want running this country?
President Trump’s dedication to angel families puts liberals to shame. It’s about time someone in the White House finally stood up for victims instead of caving in to political correctness. With every action, Trump fights for Americans first. When will the left start doing the same—or will they keep putting America last while innocent families pay the price?
