Joe Biden’s so-called “Department of Homeland Security” just axed a $58 million Coast Guard recruiting deal—because the vendor was flagged for being a little too focused on so-called “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.” You can’t make this stuff up. While the world burns, and America’s borders and military readiness both sit in shambles, our nation’s defenders are forced to play leftist word games. Bureaucrats—handpicked by the Biden regime—are looking for new hires not based on skill, but based on how well they check liberal ideology boxes.
This isn’t about making the military stronger. It’s about making it woke. When American lives are on the line, the last thing we need is a Coast Guard more interested in virtue-signaling than standing up to real threats. Liberals want us to believe their DEI obsession is about fairness. But everyone can see it’s really about transforming every part of our government—especially the parts tasked with defending us—into playgrounds for their pet social experiments.
Millions of taxpayer dollars were set aside for this recruiting contract. Every penny meant to help America’s defenders find the best and brightest. Now, the money is in limbo, all because the people in charge are too scared of upsetting activists or running afoul of the latest left-wing fad. The priorities of this administration are clear: political correctness over national defense.
This is what happens when globalists and far-left bureaucrats twist the purpose of American institutions. They don’t want strong borders or a battle-ready Coast Guard. They want diversity quotas and endless virtue signaling, all to curry favor with DC elites and their friends in Hollywood and Silicon Valley. American safety and security don’t even make the list.
Who does this help? Not the recruits. Not the military. Certainly not the American taxpayers footing the bill. This is just more proof that the left cares more about social engineering than national security. Are we supposed to believe our enemies are shaking in their boots at an army of woke recruitment pamphlets? Maybe it’s time to start caring more about strength and security, and less about who scores the most DEI points.
