It seems like nothing gets under liberal skin quite like good old American pride. After our athletes crushed it at the Winter Olympics, bringing home more gold than we’ve seen in years, the left just can’t handle it. Instead of celebrating this hard-fought victory, liberal media critics say waving the American flag or chanting “U-S-A” is a “turn off.” Seriously? Isn’t cheering for your country what the Olympics are all about?
This isn’t just harmless whining. It’s another clear sign that the left wants to tear down anything that makes America strong and proud. Our athletes work for years to reach the best stage in the world, and the first thing the media does is shame them for showing love for their own country. Why? Because patriotism doesn’t fit the globalist, anti-American narrative liberals keep pushing. They’d rather see Americans apologize for winning than stand tall and celebrate the nation’s successes.
It’s no surprise, really. These are the same people who think standing for the national anthem is controversial, or who tell us patriotism is outdated. The left wants Americans ashamed, divided, and embarrassed by their own flag. Well, that might work in faculty lounges or on social media, but not here in real America. Ordinary Americans still know what the flag stands for – freedom, hard work, and victory against the odds.
Every time American athletes raise our flag after a win, it sends a message. Not just to the world, but to every American kid watching at home. It says: be proud of where you come from, and don’t let anyone shame you for loving your country. The left may try to call it “cringe,” but the truth is, they just can’t handle a country that still knows how to win. They hate patriotism because it stands in the way of their endless lectures and guilt trips.
If waving the American flag is wrong, then maybe we need way more of it. Are we really supposed to hide our love for this country because a handful of liberal scolds don’t like it? Sorry, but it’s time we stop letting their bitterness ruin our celebrations. America deserves winners who aren’t afraid to show it. Maybe the folks complaining ought to ask themselves whose side they’re really on.
