Virginia schools roll out luxury perks for Muslim students while ignoring everyone else

Prayer Rooms and To-Go Meals: The Left’s Favorite New Perk for Public School Students… But Only If You’re Muslim

Here we go again. Another holy month, another set of handouts for a preferred group in America’s public schools. In Virginia, the latest trend is special treatment for Muslim students during Ramadan. We’re not just talking about some polite respect for religious beliefs—schools are rolling out the red carpet. That means designated prayer rooms and free, to-go meals set aside just for these students while the rest of the kids get nothing. If you want privilege in today’s public schools, just put “Ramadan” on your calendar.

Let’s be real—when was the last time Christian or Jewish students got a prayer room at school during their holiest days? High schoolers have faced pushback just for forming Bible study clubs. Jewish kids get asked to explain why they need a day off for Yom Kippur. But when it’s Ramadan, suddenly administrators bend over backwards, displaying the kind of “tolerance” that only seems to apply when it’s politically convenient.

This isn’t about respect for religion—it’s about promoting a woke agenda. Liberals running our public schools have zero problems silencing Christian values, banning Nativity scenes, or canceling “Merry Christmas” banners. But here comes Ramadan, and suddenly every school board in the state is turning the building upside down for “inclusion.” Funny how those globalists and anti-American bureaucrats never find those same resources or enthusiasm for any faith but Islam.

Even the food situation is a joke. Kids who need meals for afterschool sports or who travel home late because of activities? Too bad, make do with what you can. But if you’re fasting for Ramadan, the school staff will pack you a specialty meal to go. Forget equal treatment—this is outright favoritism. Just try asking for the same privilege for Lent or Passover. The double standard couldn’t be clearer.

Virginia schools should stop pretending this is about diversity or kindness. It’s about using our taxpayer dollars to buy favor with certain groups while marginalizing the traditional values that built this country. When they start handing out special perks for Easter, Christmas, or Hanukkah, maybe then it’ll really be about fairness. Until then, it’s just another example of liberal hypocrisy in action. At this rate, why even bother pretending public schools are neutral? Maybe it’s time to ask: whose values are really being served here?
