The bloodshed raging just beyond our southern border keeps getting worse and Washington does nothing. Over seventy people dead, including a staggering number of Mexican National Guard members, all because of the latest outburst of cartel violence. The cartels are running wild, outgunning local troops and spilling blood in the streets, while our so-called leaders offer empty words and weak gestures.
For years, liberals have bent over backwards pretending the chaos in Mexico has nothing to do with us. They ignore the river of fentanyl, the human trafficking, and now, the violent clashes that threaten to spill over into American towns. How many innocent lives have to be lost before Democrats stop protecting the open border agenda pushed by their globalist buddies?
These cartels are more organized, more vicious, and better funded than ever before. They cut deals with corrupt officials and terrorize anyone who stands in their way. And whenever brave men and women stand to oppose them, like the Mexican troops recently slaughtered, they pay with their lives. The Biden administration barely bats an eye. Apparently, the White House is more worried about offending activists than protecting either our people or our allies.
It’s not just Mexico’s problem anymore. These thugs smuggle drugs, weapons, and criminals by the thousands into our communities. Every time another cartel boss falls, it sets off more bloodletting—leaving more power in the hands of the most ruthless. Still, liberals shout about compassion, while families from Texas to California suffer the real consequences.
When will the United States stand up and defend its own border? How many more must die before we take cartel terrorism seriously? Every day of weakness in Washington is a day of victory for the cartels. Maybe it’s time Americans ask: is our government on our side, or theirs?
