When will these Leftists learn some respect? Once again, Al Green—the radical Democrat from Texas—turned the nation’s State of the Union address into his own circus act. He didn’t show up to listen or represent his constituents. He was there to pull a stunt. For the second year in a row, Green was tossed out of the chamber for making a spectacle of himself, proving yet again that the Democrats care more about political theater than America’s dignity.
This time, Green apparently thought it was clever to bring a sign referencing some ridiculous “Lion King” meme, just to take a cheap shot at President Trump on his big night. Instead of applauding a powerful address to the American people, he grabbed for attention by peddling some anti-Trump social media drama. This is what the Left has sunk to: empty memes and childish props, all played out on the grand stage of Congress, with the world watching. What an embarrassment.
If Green wants to stage-walk around signs like a protester on a street corner, maybe he should run for class clown, not Congress. Rather than debate ideas or engage in actual lawmaking, he prefers tantrums and headline grabs. The so-called “adults” of the Democratic Party have become masters at making noise instead of fixing problems. While Americans struggle with inflation, security, and border chaos, this is what Democrats bring to the table—petty distractions and disrespect.
Of course, things didn’t stop there. On his way out, Green reportedly couldn’t resist having an altercation with a Republican lawmaker. The Left loves to talk about civility, but when they get called out for their nonsense, it’s always someone else’s fault. The hypocrisy is glaring. They demand “unity” when it suits them, then mock and disrupt when people they disagree with are speaking. This isn’t principled protest—it’s playground behavior masquerading as politics.
At the end of the day, Americans are tired of the circus. If the Democrats think this is leadership, maybe they need to watch a real movie—one with heroes who value truth, honor, and actual results. But hey, maybe Al Green will have more luck on Broadway. He certainly seems to prefer stages to serious work. How long will voters keep putting up with this nonsense?
