Every time President Trump gives a State of the Union speech, it seems like Democrats are determined to turn the whole thing into a circus. But this year, Rep. Al Green somehow managed to outdo even his own embarrassing record. Like clockwork, Green made a scene and, once again, got himself shown the door. At this point, it’s less like an accident and more like a twisted tradition for the left.
Instead of doing their job and listening to the president, Democrats like Green are more interested in putting on a sideshow. They’d rather throw tantrums and disrupt the most important address in American politics just to get attention. Is it really that hard to sit still and respect the office—even if you don’t like the man in it? Apparently, for the woke crowd, dignity and self-control are completely out the window.
It’s no surprise that House leadership finally had enough. Steve Scalise and others did what was needed—they put a stop to the nonsense and defended the integrity of the chamber. When a member of Congress acts out like a spoiled child, there have to be consequences. If Republicans broke the rules this way, the media would demand their resignation. But liberals like Al Green? The mainstream press just shrugs and calls it “courage.”
Let’s be honest: this isn’t about protesting policy. It’s all about ego for left-wing politicians desperate for attention. While President Trump lays out a bold vision for America, liberals are obsessed with sabotaging everything he says, no matter how good it might be for the country. These Democrat stunts don’t just disrespect the President; they disrespect millions of hardworking Americans who tuned in hoping for substance instead of circus tricks.
The liberal elites will keep embarrassing themselves until voters get tired of the clown show. The question is, how much more of this can we stand before we demand that Washington starts acting like grown-ups again?
