Tuesday night’s State of the Union wasn’t just another speech. It was a battle cry for freedom. Only those who still can’t see through the lies of failed socialism missed what happened when President Trump recognized Delcy Rodríguez as Venezuela’s new president. His words rippled far beyond the House chamber—they shook the strongholds of tyranny and sent hope roaring across a once-proud nation brought low by corrupt leftist elites.
Liberals, of course, rushed to social media, frothing at the mouth. Instead of championing freedom, they cried about oil and greed, preaching that Venezuela’s future is doomed—unless, of course, the globalist crowd gets their way. This is the same tired playbook: defend brutal dictators as long as they parrot the right talking points and partner up with anti-American thugs.
For years, America has watched as Venezuela crumbled thanks to socialist “utopia.” Food lines, crushing poverty, families torn apart. All so a handful of elites could live like kings while ordinary men and women suffered. But say the word “freedom” and suddenly the progressive media and their foot soldiers act like you’ve committed a crime. Why? Because, deep down, they know their own ideas can’t survive the cold light of truth.
President Trump didn’t hesitate. He didn’t bow down to the international crowd or worry about hurting feelings. He put the spotlight on true leadership and stood with the Venezuelan people who have cried out for justice. That one moment gave hope to millions—something all the virtue-signaling from the left never could. It reminded us what American values truly mean.
It’s always the same crowd that seems embarrassed by democracy—unless it serves their interests. Why are liberals so uncomfortable supporting freedom except when it lines their pockets or fits their “woke” narratives? Maybe they’re just jealous their heroes never inspire real hope. Maybe, deep down, they’re afraid that the winds of freedom are coming for them next.
If standing up for basic liberty bothers the left so much, maybe it’s time they look in the mirror—and ask themselves why they keep ending up on the side of tyrants.
